About Us
My Story
I did not come from money. I did not have a mentor. And for a long time I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
Before trading I built things. I was a college lecturer. A personal trainer. A double Scottish cycling champion who trained up to 40 hours a week on top of a full time job. I built a pizza business from a market stall into two restaurants turning over significant revenue.
I knew how to work hard. What I did not know was how to trade.
I lost money. A lot of it. Over a long period of time. I tried every indicator, every strategy, every system that promised consistency. None of it worked. Not because I was not committed. Because I was applying that commitment in completely the wrong direction.
Eventually I stripped everything back. Horizontal levels. Fibonacci tools. Three free indicators on TradingView. Simple. Structured. Repeatable.
I became consistently profitable. We paid off our mortgage. We built a life on three acres in the Scottish Highlands — growing food, keeping animals, spending time with our family without the weight of financial stress on every decision.
That is what trading gave us. Not a flashy lifestyle. Time. Presence. Choice.
Why I Teach
It started naturally. Friends. Family. Colleagues. Anyone who was curious. I realised quickly that I genuinely loved it — not as a business idea but because watching something click for someone else is more fulfilling than any trade I have ever placed.
The Method
The Northpoint Method uses simple free tools available to anyone. Horizontal support and resistance levels drawn from candle close alignment. Fibonacci retracement for entries. Fibonacci extension for targets. Three free indicators — RSI, Stochastic and BBWP — for confirmation. A clear risk framework that protects capital above everything else.
No signals. No subscriptions. No black box. A skill you own permanently.
With Structure Comes Freedom.
My suffering became my curriculum. The losses. The mistakes. The years of expensive confusion. All of it is now in the method I teach — so the people I work with do not have to go through what I went through.
A good teacher's best result is a student who no longer needs them. That is the standard I hold myself to.
